Eduroam Not Working After Password Change

After you change your Adler password, devices connected via eduroam will need to have their WiFi profile updated with a record of the new password. After changing your password, you will need to update the record the next time you are on campus.

To change your Adler password, please see the article: How to Reset Your Adler Password or Unlock Your Account.

Android - eduroam will show an authentication error

  1. Open Settings > Network & internet > Internet. Select the Settings icon (cog) next to the eduroam network.
  2. Select the Edit icon at the top right (pencil). Enter the new password in the password field and select Save to update your password.

iOS/iPadOS - eduroam WiFi will not connect

  1. After it fails to connect click to manually connect to eduroam and it will prompt for your password.
Note: You might have to click on eduroam in the WiFi list and click on Forget this network
  2. Find eduroam in the list again and it will prompt you for your username (your full @adler.edu email address) and the new password.

Windows 10/11

  1. Attempt to connect to the network.
  2. If you are prompted for your credentials, use the new ones.
  3. If you do not see the prompt and are immediately shown a connection error, right-click on the eduroam network and select Forget
  4. Enter your new password at the prompt.

macOS

  1. Attempt to connect to the network
  2. A pop-up window will ask you to re-enter your password. If you have the password saved in your Keychain, find the entry for eduroam in Keychain and update it to the new password.
