Clearing Cache in your Web Browser

This step-by-step guide will step you through how to properly clear cache in either Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox.


Clearing Cache while using Microsoft Edge 

(Scroll down for instructions on clearing in Google Chrome and/or Firefox)

1. STEP 1:  Click the '...' option in the top-right of your window



2. STEP 2:  Choose 'Settings' from the Drop-Down menu


3. STEP 3:  In the Settings sidebar, choose 'Privacy and Services'


4. STEP 4:  Under 'Clear browsing data', select 'Choose what to clear'


5. STEP 5:  In 'Clear browsing data', select the check box for 'Cookies and other site data'


6. STEP 6:  From the 'Time Range' list, the recommended option is to choose 'for all time'


7. STEP 7:  Select 'Clear now'



Clearing Cache while using Google Chrome
1. STEP 1:  At the top right, choose the vertical 3-dots icon 

2. STEP 2:  Click the 'More tools' option

3. STEP 3:  From the pop-out menu, choose 'Clear Browsing data'

4. STEP 4:  In the 'Time Range' field, the recommended option is 'All time'

5. STEP 5:  Ensure the boxes are checked next to 'Cookies and other site data' along with 'Caches images and files'

6. STEP 6:  Click 'Clear data'



Clearing Cache while using Firefox

1.  STEP 1:  Click the 'Menu' button in the top-right corner of your browser, and select the 'Settings' option

2.  STEP 2:  Select the 'Privacy & Security' option

3.  STEP 3:  In the 'Cookies and Site Data' section, select 'Clear Data...'

4.  STEP 4:  Remove the Check Mark in front of 'Cookies and Site Data'

5.  STEP 5:  With 'Cached Web Content' check-marked, click the 'Clear' button

6.  STEP 6:  Close the 'about:preferences' page.  Any changes you've made will be saved automatically.
