Uploading Media from Your Computer to a Canvas Activity

Uploading media can be done in a few simple steps. Below will demonstrate how you can upload media in Canvas.

Uploading Video to a Canvas Activity (e.g., a Discussion Post or Assignment)

1. Place your cursor in a text field under the activity.
2. Click the the Apps menu, then select the Panopto icon
   
   
3. Select Upload

5. Ensure the proper Panopto folder is chosen from the drop-down menu (usually labeled My Folder)

7. Follow the instructions to upload your recording.  You may have to wait while your video uploads, especially if it is a long video.

9. Click Insert at the bottom of the pop-up window to insert the video into the discussion post.
10. 
11. Submit the assignment or your discussion reply to add the post the video.
