How Do I Delegate a Call in Microsoft Teams?

Teams gives you the option of selecting someone as a delegate who can make and receive calls on your behalf.  The delegates are able to make calls on behalf of more than one person and select the desired person when making the call, and also put the calls on hold.

The delegates are also able to change the delegation settings that they are included in. They can not only view the permissions and manage delegates, but they can also change call settings for the people who set them as delegates.

Manage Delegate Settings

  • To manage your delegate settings:
  • Click on your profile picture and then Settings > General
  • There is a delegation section at the bottom of the page. Click on Manage Delegates
  • Under Your Delegates, you can add or remove contacts from your delegate list.

Learn more about how to add someone as a delegate and also how that delegate can receive and make calls on somebody's behalf.
