Multi-factor Authentication Availability and Support

All employee, and student accounts have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled for all major systems to protect you and the University from having your personal information and data compromised.  Using MFA will significantly decrease the probability that a hacker can gain access to your accounts, and personal information.

What is MFA?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security for users logging in to a secure environment.  The goal of MFA is to create a layered defense and make it more difficult for an unauthorized person to access your information.  MFA leverages three types of authentication:

  1. Something you know (AU username & password)
  2. Something you have (physical device)
  3. Something you are (e.g. fingerprint, facial recognition)

Adler University uses Microsoft Authenticator is its approved MFA solution. Authenticator makes authentication easy by allowing individuals to verify their identity via mobile app.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required for all Adler University faculty, staff, and students.
