Types of SMART Boards
At Adler, you may notice that we have two models of SMART Boards depending on which classroom you're in:
Using the SMART Boards - Black Model
On the Black Model, setting it to Whiteboard Mode ca be done by pressing the Pen Icon on the left-hand side of the display:
Once this icon is pressed, you will be able to draw on the screen:
Using the SMART Boards - White Model
On the White Model, a few more steps are required. First, you'll need to change the Input to "OPS HDMI"
You can change the input either using the TV remote, or by pressing the Input button on the TV itself:
This will bring up a screen that let's you create a new document to draw on, similar to what you would see in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat.
You can also save your drawings if you want to bring them up again in a later class.
To go back to the regular laptop display, simply change the input back to "HDMI" to proceed. We recommend always doing this when you're finished drawing, so that the next class can be ready to use the room.
