This method is reliable, but slower for large files to show up at the printer. Very large files (e.g. hundreds of pages of text or 10+ large pictures) may have trouble appearing at all. For a faster/large-file-friendly method, consider using Web Print.

Send a print job via email
In a new email, set the appropriate campus printing queue in the To field. Attach the documents you want to print to the email, then send it.
When the email has successfully been processed, the system will send a reply from [email protected] stating the job has been received and processed. How long this takes depends on network conditions and the size of the files sent but typically takes less than one minute for small files and up to five minutes for multiple or large files.
Documents in the queue can be seen in the printer's Print Release menu.
Note: Documents in the queue can also be seen on the Web Print portal. See the guide on using Web Print in the list of related articles for instructions.
Once the documents are in the queue they can be released from any printer on campus. See the guide on releasing print jobs here: Printer Touchscreen: How to Release a Print
Troubleshooting
- Emails with attachments larger than 13 MB in total are too large for email. Send them in separate emails, if possible, or use another printing method altogether.
- Acceptable file types include PDF, Word/PowerPoint/Excel files (DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX respectively), and picture files (JPG, PNG).
- Sending an email with no valid files attached will result in a response saying the email was received but no valid attachments were found.
- If files of different types are attached and some of the types are valid but some are not, only the valid files will be processed and sent to the queue and there will be no error message.
