Install SPSS on a Personal Computer

NOTE:  The process for installing SPSS is the same on Windows and MacOS, but the screens may look slightly different in MacOS than the screenshots in this guide.

1. Download the installer for SPSS:
   1. Windows:  SSC64-bit_28.0.1.0Win_ML.exe
   2. MacOS:  SPSS_Statistics_Clit_28.0.1.0_Mac.pkg
2. Run the installation file.
3. Select Next >.
   
   
   
4. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and then select Next >.
   
   
   
5. Choose the directory where SPSS will be installed and select Next >.
   
   
   
6. Select Install.
   
   
   
7. After the installation completes, select Finish.  SPSS should open automatically.
   
   
   
8. A license prompt will appear.  Select Launch License Wizard.
   
   
   
9. SPSS will show that no licenses are found.  Select Next >.
   
   
   
10. Contact the Service Desk at [email protected] or https://support.adler.edu to request a license. Include the lock code, which is required to generate the license.
    
    
    
11. After the Service Desk provides the license code, select Authorized user license (I purchased a single copy of the product) and then select Next >.
12. Paste the license code in the Enter Code: field and select Add.  Then select Next >.
    
    
    
13. SPSS should import the license.  Select Next > to complete the license activation process.
    
    
    
14. SPSS will prompt to restart the application to apply the license.  Select Restart.
