FAQs

What do I actually have to do?

Wait for your password to expire after August 1st, then choose a new one with a length of 13 or more. That's all!

Does my current password expire at midnight on August 1st?

No! It will expire (for the last time) 90 days from when you previously set it. After you change the password, it will never expire again.

Can I change my password early to get this out of the way?

Yes, you can do so starting August 1st.

When would be the best time to update my password?

If you have an Adler Windows computer, try to do it while on-campus or while connected to VPN. Otherwise, during business hours is generally ideal.

I was part of the early adoption group, will I still need to change my password one last time?

No, you're already rocking your forever password.

How can I check whether I was in the early adoption group?

The help desk can tell you! Email [email protected]

I still want to use numbers and symbols in my password. Is that okay?

Yes, even though they're no longer required. Your password can be as Sisyphusian as you want.

Can I change my password later on?

Yes, as many times as you'd like. The big change is getting rid of automatic password expiration.

I have other questions!

That wasn't a question, but I bet the folks at [email protected] would be happy to answer them!
