How do I complete my course evaluation feedback survey(s) as a student?

As actively-enrolled students at Adler University, you will receive an email invitation from the Adler University Office of Institutional Effectiveness two weeks prior to the final day of classes with a link to complete your fully anonymous course & instructor evaluations. This link will remain active until five business days after the actual final day of classes. Alternatively, students can access their course evaluations surveys direct through Canvas during this same window by clicking the Course Evaluations icon in the left-most vertical menu of the LMS following successful log-in to Canvas.  Please make sure to fill out your evaluations during this time period. 


  1. Access the LMS by clicking the following link here.  Upon login, choose the Course Evaluations icon in the left vertical menu or check your adler.edu email inbox for an invitation from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to complete course evaluation feedbacks for the academic term in question.
  2. Upon receipt of the email invitation from Adler's Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) or selection of the Course Evaluations icon in Canvas, you will be taken to a screen similar to one shown in the screenshot below.
  3. If this is the first time opening the link from within the email invitation, all courses will show status of ‘To Do’ high-lighted in orange. To begin evaluating a course, click on its name in the list.
  4. NOTE: the first portion of the survey evaluates the course itself. After answering the listed course-related questions, you will be taken to a separate evaluation to evaluate the instructor. The instructor you are currently evaluating will be named at the top of the screen, like below:
  5. If you have more than one instructor in your course, you will be able to evaluate each of them individually.
  6. After completing the course & instructor evaluations for a given course, we ask that you return to the home screen by clicking on the arrow in the top left corner of the page, shown below.
  7. After returning to your home screen, you will see the full list of courses in which you are enrolled for this academic term with the evaluation you just completed marked as ‘Done.’ If you have more courses to evaluate, they will be marked as ‘To Do’ and you can complete them in the same manner.
  8. Also, should you realize after submitting that you made a mistake, or would like to change feedback within any of your evaluations, you can do so by clicking on the course and selecting the ‘Retake evaluation’ button, as shown below
  9. Thank you for submitting your feedback!  Again, feedbacks are kept fully anonymous.  Any questions on the above process should route direct to OIE@adler.edu.
